Ellen Page is jumping from Juno to Jane Eyre.

The Oscar-nominated actress is about to take an iconic role—starring as the title character in BBC Films’ new big-screen version of Charlotte Brontë’s classic 1847 novel.

For her first period piece, Page will put on an accent to play the orphaned English protagonist who, after being cruelly abused by her aunt, is sent to live in a charity school. She eventually lands a job as a governess and falls for her boss.

So Ellen was in Japan for sure! She was in Tokyo at the Juno Press Conference and here is several photos from the event. Ellen looked great as usual and seemed to have fun!

This was posted here on May 6 (the night out was on May 2), but Ellen went to Japan on May 4 so I don’t understand it all. But I will see if i find photos from the “girls night out”

It looked like a girls’ night out for Drew Barrymore and screenwriter Diablo Cody at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont. Earlier in the night, the two (along with Ellen Page) caught roller-derby sensations the L.A. Derby Dolls. The trio drank Pilsner Urquells from the can, exchanged high-fives with fellow fans and cheered on the athletes. Chalk the evening up to some (fun) research: Barrymore is slated to direct Whip It! (starring Page), about a female roller derby league.

Juno has been nominated for several categories for the MTV Awards, this is very exciting and you can read an article about it and the other nominees here. Let’s hope Juno wins it all, hehe!
