I found and added 100 HQ photos of Ellen at the 2007 press conference for Juno.  Some of these we previously had in MQ versions but most are new to the site.  She looks so cute!

So Ellen was in Japan for sure! She was in Tokyo at the Juno Press Conference and here is several photos from the event. Ellen looked great as usual and seemed to have fun!

Juno has been nominated for several categories for the MTV Awards, this is very exciting and you can read an article about it and the other nominees here. Let’s hope Juno wins it all, hehe!

If I understood the article right this, ‘second soundtrack’ will just be available online?

The sweet, quirky Juno soundtrack was — much like the movie that spawned it — one of those little indies that could. Filled with songs by the relatively little-known Moldy Peaches and their spinoff projects, the soundtrack shot to the top of the Billboard charts in January. And now, it’s getting a sequel!

Juno B-Sides: Almost Adopted Songs will be available April 8 via iTunes (it’s already available for pre-order) and will include 15 more songs that just barely didn’t make the cut for the film. As director Jason Reitman wrote in the liner notes: “None of these songs made the movie, but they are all essential members of the Junoverse.”

The roster of artists looks a lot like the first soundtrack, with songs from Belle and Sebastian, Kimya Dawson, and Buddy Holly. There are two new songs by Mateo Messina, who composed music for the film, called “Meet the MacGuffs” and “Meet the Lorings.” And there’s also another track from Ellen Page, whose song — “Zub Zub” — was written by screenwriter Diablo Cody herself. Apparently, the song comes from a scene where Juno was just fooling around on the guitar, singing lyrics like “he filled me with baby batter, then we ate some orange Tic Tacs after.” Heh. The scene got cut for time, but luckily, now the song’s preserved for posterity.

She may be the toast of Hollywood, winning Oscar and Bafta nominations for her portrayal of a pregnant teenager, but Ellen Page also won over her co-stars in Juno.

“She’s just a beautiful and incredible actress,” said Jennifer Garner.

“The minute we started rehearsal, I thought, who are you, and where did you come from, and how did Jason find you? She’s gonna blow people out of the water. She’s going to be a very important actress.”

Allison Janney, who plays Juno‘s stepmum, had the highest compliment for Ellen.

“She reminds me of a young Audrey Hepburn,” she gushes. “There is something beautifully feminine about her and yet she’s playing this incredibly tough, cool character. She’s fearless. I’ve just been so impressed with her and I adore her. She’s amazing.”

And director Jason Reitman compares the 20-year-old to Meryl Streep, saying: “A lot of actors are good mimics, or they are method actors and do a lot of research, or they are naturally very charming.

“What’s different about Ellen, is that she knows what Juno would do, say or feel at any given moment, and she can turn it on and off like a light switch. It’s incredible to watch.”

She may be described as Hollywood’s next rising star, but Oscar nominee Ellen Page isn’t interested in being a celebrity.

“I don’t want that,” insists Ellen, who is up for a Best Actress Academy Award for Juno.

“I think if you want it and you want to live that way, you can. And you can also choose to totally not live that way. I’m from Nova Scotia. I don’t know, it’s just not me. And I think you can avoid it.”

The Canadian 20-year-old, who has won acclaim for her portrayal of pregnant teenager Juno MacGuff in the movie, reveals that her idol is American actress Catherine Keener.

“One of my favourite actresses who I was blessed to work with is Catherine Keener and I think she’s a great example of a two-time Academy Award nominee, lives her life and is one of the coolest, more amazing people I’ve met,” Ellen gushes.

“She just loves to do what she does. And I just don’t think I’m special for being an actor, you know?”

She adds: “I’m doing it because I feel really passionate. If I wanted to be in LA and do that thing, I could do that. But Halifax is my homebase.”
