A very cool update today! Ellen made her first public appearance of 2010 last night when she went to the opening performance of Pee-Wee Herman’s new show. In addition, the official site for Peacock went live and they have several HQ stills of our girl which I’ve added to the gallery.

Peacock news

  May   6, 2008

Wow! What a great cast the movie is having, can’t wait to hear more about the project

Susan Sarandon, Bill Pullman and Josh Lucas are joining Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page in the psychological thriller “Peacock.”

The story is set in Peacock, Nebraska, where a train crashes into the backyard of a bank clerk (Murphy), revealing a woman no one knew lived there.

Lucas will play the bank clerk’s friend, a local cop; Pullman is cast as his supervisor; and Sarandon will portray the mayor’s wife, who runs the local women’s shelter. Page will play a woman from the clerk’s past who might hold the secret to the mystery woman.

Michael Lander is directing the feature, from a screenplay he and Ryan Roy wrote.

Ellen will come to Des Moines to make film

  Mar   25, 2008

More information about the new project Ellen is attached to!

Roll out the red carpet, Iowa. Another movie crew is coming to town.

The psychological thriller “Peacock” will begin filming in the Des Moines area in early May, with Oscar nominee Ellen Page (of “Juno” fame) and Cillian Murphy (the creepy psychiatrist and “scarecrow” from “Batman Begins“) in the lead roles. Iowans will get a chance to audition for the film’s other roles.

This is the third movie deal for the 21-year-old Canadian actress since last month’s Oscars ceremony. She’ll star in “Whip It!,” Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut about a roller-derby girl, and had signed up for – but later withdrew from – “Drag Me to Hell,” a horror flick directed by Sam Raimi, best known his work on the recent Spider-Man movies and the 1987 cult classic “The Evil Dead.”
